Product Description

 

1. According to American standards: The part number is regulated by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The pitch is measured in 1/8 inches, and the first digit in the part number represents the pitch. For example, in ANSI 40, the pitch is 4/8 inches (i.e., 1/2 inches). 0 as the last digit indicates a standard chain; 5 indicates a bushing chain without rollers; 1 indicates a lightweight chain.
2. According to British standards: The part number is regulated by European standards committees and needs to comply with ISO 606. The pitch is measured in 1/16 inches. For example, the pitch of 08B is 8/16 inches (i.e., 1/2 inches), and that of 20B is 20/16 inches (i.e., 1 - 1/4 inches).
3. Other types: There are also heavy - duty roller chains with thicker side plates, which are identified by adding "H" in the part number, such as ANSI 100H and BS 12BH. Straight sidebar roller chains have straight side plates instead of the figure - 8 shape, and the identification code in the part number is "F", such as ANSI 60F and BS 12BF.
