1. Material and composition
Stainless steel pipes are mainly composed of elements such as chromium (Cr) and nickel (Ni), and the specific composition varies according to the grade of stainless steel. For example, in 0Cr25Ni20 (also known as 06Cr25Ni20, 2520 or 310S) stainless steel pipes, the chromium content is as high as 25% and the nickel content is 20%, which makes it have excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance, and can operate continuously at high temperatures.

2. Classification and specifications
There are many types of stainless steel pipes. According to the material, they can be divided into ordinary carbon steel pipes, high-quality carbon structural steel pipes, alloy structural pipes, alloy steel pipes, bearing steel pipes and stainless steel pipes; according to the production method, they can be divided into two categories: seamless pipes and welded pipes. Seamless steel pipes can be divided into hot-rolled pipes, cold-rolled pipes, cold-drawn pipes and extruded pipes, etc., and welded pipes include straight seam welded pipes and spiral welded pipes, etc.; according to the cross-sectional shape, they can be divided into round pipes and special-shaped pipes, special-shaped pipes include rectangular pipes, diamond pipes, elliptical pipes, etc.; according to the use, they can be divided into oil well pipes, pipeline pipes, boiler pipes, mechanical structure pipes, etc.

In terms of specifications, the outer diameter of stainless steel pipes usually ranges from 0.14500mm and the wall thickness usually ranges from 0.01250mm.
