Product Features
Simple structure: The stop valve is mainly composed of a valve body, a valve disc and a valve stem, and is easy to manufacture and maintain.
Directionality: The installation and use of the stop valve are directional. The medium usually flows in from the bottom of the valve disc and flows out from the top, which helps to reduce the wear of the valve disc and improve the sealing performance.
Good sealing performance: When opening and closing, there is no relative sliding between the valve disc and the sealing surface, with less wear, excellent sealing performance and long service life. Some stop valves also use a double seal of a combination of fluororubber O-rings and V-type PTFE packing to ensure zero leakage.
High fluid resistance: Due to the tortuous passage in the valve body, the fluid resistance is relatively large and the power consumption is also large.
Relatively poor adjustment performance: The stop valve is mainly used for full opening and full closing operations. Although the flow rate can be adjusted by rotating the valve stem in some cases, the adjustment accuracy is low.
Large operating torque: The opening and closing torque of the stop valve is large, and the opening and closing is laborious and time-consuming, and may require the use of tools for operation.
Easy maintenance: The sealing elements of the valve seat and valve disc are easy to repair or replace, and usually there is no need to remove the valve from the pipeline, which is convenient for maintenance.
